The idea for the Singles N Dance social was developed by Ed Kubilus in June 2016.

 

The original concept was to provide a venue for singles to meet and socialize once a month at a Village recreation center.  It was to provide an opportunity for members to become acquainted with other singles in an atmosphere of friendliness and goodwill.

 

As stated by Ed, “The club is a lounge type dancing club, and not a ballroom type dancing club”.

 

The original club officers were Ed Kubilus, Bill Grieco, Ted Skolits, Chris McCool and Terri De Matteo.  Ted Skolits functioned as the club DJ and Vice-President.

The original group consisted of 333 members by the fall of 2016.

Ed left the position of president in November 2016 due to personal reasons.

The club has continued to grow and evolve.
